Our investigators are often required to conduct surveillance literally ‘in the field’ for a variety of reasons. Private clients may live in a remote or rural area that can be difficult to observe using ‘traditional’ techniques. Landowners and Farmers require surveillance of parts of their property, sometimes because they have been a repeat victim of theft or vandalism.
The remoteness of many farms makes them an easy target for thieves, vandals and trespassers using off road vehicles such as quad bikes and 4x4’s. Many farmers have tried to install heavy-duty metal gates to protect access to their land only to find the padlocks and chains have been cut by trespassers.
Fly tipping can be a nuisance for Landowners who often have to invest their own time and money into removing the offending material. Although Private Investigators do not have the power of arrest we do have the advantage of using field skills to gather photographic and video evidence of such events occurring, documenting events into a format approved by solicitors as evidence for future action - and, often, to identify the perpetrators
Local initiatives include Farm Watch schemes that help to integrate the local communities into keeping watch over their own areas and informing others of suspicious vehicles or individuals. Hard working Landowners often do not have the time to maintain surveillance on remote parts of their property. Our surveillance operatives are well established within this field, able to place an operative in an area of interest and gather evidence of human activity for prosecution using sophisticated day and night time observation equipment.
